Satyendar Jain Hospitalized

This is the second time in a week that Jain required medical attention, raising concerns about his health. As the situation unfolds, supporters express their worry, while political debates surrounding his condition intensify. Let’s delve into the details surrounding Satyendar Jain‘s hospitalization and the ongoing controversies.

Satyendar Jain Health Condition

On Thursday, Satyendar Jain was admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital after slipping and falling in the bathroom of Tihar Jail. Jain, who has lost approximately 35 kg since his arrest, was examined by doctors who found his vital organs to be normal.

However, due to complaints of back, leg, and shoulder pain, he was referred to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. This incident follows another fall in the jail’s bathroom earlier in the week, which necessitated his examination at Safdarjung Hospital.

Concerns Over Health And Political Accusations

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), to which Satyendar Jain belongs, has expressed concern over his deteriorating health and accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the ruling party at the federal level, of attempting to harm him. AAP members claim that Jain suffers from sleep apnea and needs a BIPAP machine while sleeping.

They argue that his health has significantly declined since his arrest and subsequent detention. On the other hand, BJP leaders have responded to these allegations, suggesting that Jain’s weight loss is a result of his religious beliefs and his decision to eat only once a day.

Legal Battle And Political Fallout

Satyendar Jain’s arrest in May last year by the Enforcement Directorate on money laundering charges has been the center of a legal battle. His lawyer, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, informed the Supreme Court that Jain has lost a significant amount of weight and is suffering from various ailments.

While Jain maintains that the charges against him are politically motivated, the case has stirred up political controversy, with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accusing the BJP of arrogance and oppression. Kejriwal expressed solidarity with Jain and vowed to continue the fight against injustice and dictatorship.
